The Legendary, Prophecy Entertainment Music Group, LLC originated out of Oxon Hill, MD in 1979 ~ over 35+ years ago. In our decade-plus career, while forming our own musical identity, we’ve brought back our own original sound complimented with R&B Grown & Sexy/Ole' School-New School Pocket Jazz/Neo Soul.

The group was formerly known as Prophecy Band & Show which temporarily faded out only to return stronger than ever with a new sound and stage presence determined to deliver DMV’s most finest and quality sounds with original and classical tunes.

ProphecyEMG was formed by Syeed M. Mahdi who later pulled Ron Butler & and David Hunter on board. These three individuals collaborated & brought back the unique tunes and paired up with some other dynamic talented musicians and vocalist to complete the sound and has been rising to a new horizon.

ProphecyEMG has made appearances with DMV’s own Facez U Know, Carolyn Malachi, Chuck Brown & the Soul Searchers, Sugar Bear-Experience Unlimited, Brian Lenair, Skip Mahoney & The Casuals, Trouble Funk, Rare Essence, Dynasty Band, Cloud 9 and Still Familiar just to name a few.
